When it comes to pattern mixing, I’m no expert.  In fact, I usually like to play it on the safe side because let’s face it, it’s easier to throw on something that you already know goes together perfectly.  That being said, I think some of the best outfits come from taking a risk.  It’s exciting when you find things that shouldn’t work, but do.  My best advice for pattern mixing is to stick with one color as the main focus of the outfit, and let the other less noticeable colors compliment it.  For this outfit, my dominant color was blue and I used red and white as accents.

On another note: I hope everyone is enjoying the fall!  Some things that I love about fall are: Pumpkin Spice Lattes, colorful leaves, Netflix (okay, that one is year round), warm cookies, tall boots, big sweaters, candles everywhere, pumpkins, and Halloween.  What are your favorite fall things? (:

Who says you can’t wear white after labor day?  I don’t know who decided that was a thing, but I find myself breaking that rule all the time in the fall and winter.  In particular, I love the way white bottoms (pants, skirts, etc.) contrast with a plaid shirt.  Add some pearls, ankle booties, and a fall lipstick and you’re ready to go!

Hi everyone!  I don’t wear a ton of black, so this look was a nice change for me.  What I love about these leather pants is that they can be worn to make so many different outfit combinations.  You can dress them up or down, and they can make any look more fashion forward.  I found them at H&M.  If you are looking for leather bottoms, I HIGHLY recommend jeggings!  They have the comfort of leggings, but the look of pants.

Thanks for visiting my blog! (:
