If I told you I was an expert print mixer, I’d be lying.  I typically tend to be a one pattern kind of girl, but I felt like it was time to change it up.  If I didn’t make an attempt at helping you guys mix and match your closet, then what kind of fashion blogger would I be right? 😉  Stripes and floral are two of the most safe patterns you can blend.  Don’t ask me how, but they just usually seem to work. Additionally, when you have a lot of the same colors in two different pieces you can typically make them go together.  Take notice of all that white in both the overalls and the shirt.  Your eye goes right to all that cohesiveness instead of the conflicting patterns.  Wha-la a match!  As always, thanks so much for reading and I love having your support!  (:

Dress: New York & Company // Shoes: LifeStride // Pearl Necklace: Vintage (similar)  // Bracelets: unknown (similar) (similar) // Balloons: Glam Fete

Yesterday was my 21st birthday!  Thank you so much to everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday!  I was overwhelmed by all the sweet comments.  I spent the night out to dinner with my family and my boyfriend, Craig where I ordered my first legal drink!  It was a Caribbean Cooler from the Cheesecake Factory and it was really good!  We then headed home where we had the amazing Barbie cake pictured above that was made by my best friend, Allie.  She goes to school for Baking & Pastry and she’s incredibly talented!  See more of her work HERE!  I didn’t really celebrate with my friends yesterday, so we’re going to get together this saturday instead.  We’re going roller skating and then out for drinks and I can’t wait!

Here are 21 things that i’ve learned by 21!

1.) I’d rather have five amazing best friends, than 500 just sorta okay friends.

2.) The older you get, the faster time flies ( UGH SLOW DOWN TIME).

3.) You don’t have to have EVERYTHING already figured out.

4.) Going to bed early is suddenly so much cooler than it used to be.

5.) If you don’t do dishes or laundry, you won’t have dishes or laundry.

6.) The qualities you look for in a partner will change (probably for the better).

7.) Investing in good quality clothing and accessories is important.

8.) Unless you want to solely eat cereal you need to have some cooking skills.

9.) It’s okay to make mistakes.

10.) It’s okay to let go of people who aren’t making you feel happy.

11.) Put the most effort into things that you’re passionate about.

12.) Surround yourself with positive people and you will feel positive.

13.) Radiating confidence is the most beautiful thing you can do.

14.) Be with someone who loves you for you.

15.) If you have to chase somebody, they probably aren’t worth chasing.

16.) Your parents were right about a lot.

17.) You are incredibly embarrassed of your teenage self…but so is everyone!

18.) College is a lot of work, but it’s so worth it.

19.) Love yourself before you love someone else.

20.) Spread the kindness you wish to receive.

21.) Do things that make you happy every single day!

Thanks for reading! (:

Second Row: Matisse Paula Sandal // Carrini Ankle Strap Wedge (Only 14$!) // Sam Edelman Sloan Sandal

Third Row: Sole Society ‘Metsey’ Wedge (Only $25!) // Jayne Wedge // Lucky Brand Pexx Heel Sandal

Hi girls!  These sandals are all from Nordstrom Rack – which is my favorite place to look for shoes lately!  FYI: the prices may vary from other retailers, so head straight to Nordstrom Rack Online for the lowest price!  I love to visit the actual store, because you never know what you’ll find, but online has a much better selection of shoes.  I’m actually only recently a shoe lover!  I used to be more of a bag kind of girl, but I’ve recently found that I love shoes just as much (sorry wallet).  That being said, I’m a girl that loves a bargain, and these designers finds are major steal, so I had to share them with you all.  I’ve labeled a few of my favorites with those pink bargain circles.  Happy shopping! (:

Hi everyone!  Charming Charlie’s has been one of my latest obsessions.  That’s where I got this cute hot pink bag a few weeks ago.  This top is from forever ago, but it’s been a staple in my wardrobe because it’s perfect for virtually any season.  Also, I’m in love with this House of Harlow necklace that came in my Rock’s Box this month.  Just a heads up – my readers can try out this company for FREE using the code: (theinspirationclosetxoxo)!

BTW I’ve been pinning up a storm on Pinterest lately!  I’m working on some really fun photo shoot ideas for the future.  If you want to see where some of my inspiration comes from follow my Pinterest: (@nicolespataro)!  I’d love to follow you guys back as well so we can be pin friends! (:

“Florals for spring? Groundbreaking.”  Name that movie!  I bought these pants last year, but I actually only had the chance to wear them once prior to this.  Spring is such a short season in the Northeast.  I couldn’t be more excited to finally break them in though!  If you haven’t visited the site Who.A.U. be sure to check them out.  I’ve purchased so many pretty pairs of pants there in the past year.  Also, I just have to mention my new DSW purchase!

These pumps are by the brand Life Stride and I can honestly say they are the most comfortable pair I’ve ever owned.  They have extra cushion on the inside, which is perfect when you’re especially TERRIBLE at walking in heels like I am.  Just by the way, the wind was crazy when we took these photos.  There was one picture where all of my hair was covering my whole face.  I’m thinking about putting together a bloopers post of all the photos throughout the year that have gone wrong so you guys can have a laugh at my expense.  Thanks for reading!  (:
