Hi friends! If you haven’t already noticed, I have a little bit of a thing for polka dots. I don’t know how it happened, but I went from not owning a single thing with this print to having dresses, tops and skirts covered in dots. Have you ever liked a shirt so much that you couldn’t resist buying three more in different colors? I think that’s what is going on here with this dot obsession. There’s just something about a print like this that adds a lot of life and fun into your wardrobe in my opinion. I also like to take a lot of inspiration from vintage fashion and to me this screams 1950′s. Did I mention it was only $20.00??

If you’ve ever been a fan of beach or pool cover ups, then you’ll love the sarong. It’s a total game changer. In case you’ve never heard of it, a sarong is a long piece of cloth that is traditionally worn by the women in Southeast Asia and can be wrapped around the body in a variety of ways. I had been pinning sarongs for months on Pinterest, so naturally when I received one as a gift for my birthday I used the first excuse to wear it when my sister and I went to the lake for the day. The best thing about the sarong, is the crazy amount of ways you can wear it. It can be tied into a dress, a long skirt, a short skirt, etc. The options seem endless. If you guys would like to see a tutorial post showing how to wear it a few ways, let me know in the comments!
If you follow me on Instagram (@theinspirationcloset), you may have seen my post about my 21st birthday coming up. My best friends and I are going roller skating before we go out to celebrate, so I couldn’t resist getting myself a little early birthday present…these skates! I just love how vintage looking and pretty they are so of course I couldn’t help but to break them out a little early! I went skating around a local park the other day with my boyfriend Craig and let me tell you I fell A LOT. But when I wasn’t falling we got these fun shots! By the way that dress I’m wearing is only $10.00 from Boohoo! Thanks for reading!
Hi everyone! Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to get crafty and make something cute for someone that you care about. This idea is perfect for a boyfriend, or can be turned into a silly kind of gift for your girl friends. When I was in high school, our school would sell roses that you could send to a boyfriend or girlfriend with a personalized message. So instead, my friends and I would all send each other the roses with cute notes talking about fun memories or our friendship in general. Making something cute for a friend on Valentine’s Day is a great way to remind them that you care and can be a huge cheer-up for someone who is bummed about the holiday. This project is so easy too and not expensive!
Okay, so you can find EVERYTHING for this project except for the nerds in the dollar section of Target! I found the nerds at Walgreens.
1 Glass Jar
1 Chalkboard Marker
1 Package of Burlap Gift Tags (With Chalkboard on Front)
1 36 Package of Valentine’s Day Themed Nerds
Pour as many nerd packages as it will take to fill your jar. If you use the dollar jar from Target you will have some nerds left over. (What a shame right 😉 you’ll just have to eat them all!) Close the jar with the lid. Uncap your chalkboard marker and begin writing your message on your burlap tag. Tie the tag around your jar and wha-la your’e finished!
Hi guys! I’m obsessed with the zoo. Last year, for my birthday, I actually told my boyfriend that all I wanted to do was go to the zoo. This summer, I decided to take a day trip with my sister to a small zoo in our area and we had so much fun. For this outfit I wanted something playful and comfortable.
What I love about this look is how perfect it is for the hot weather. Overalls are a huge go-to for me lately because they are so simple to throw on and look fashionable without trying. I actually purchased this pair very recently, and because it’s nearing the end of the season, they were extremely marked down. Style overalls with a short sleeve or sleeveless shirt, and a pair of sneakers for a put together look.
