A midi skirt is such a great staple to have in your wardrobe!  Not only can you wear this piece throughout every season, but it’s also a great item to have for both formal and casual wear.  I know that this one in partciular will be on major repeat this winter during holiday parties and events!

If you don’t already own them, I highly recommend picking up a pair of pants in this oxblood shade!  I get some much wear out of these in the fall and winter because they go so well with all different prints and patterns (like this leopard one for instance.)  I love how they can instantly dress up any top in your closet. Depending on your job, you can also get away with wearing them to some offices as opposed to a basic pair of blue jeans.  Multi-functional? Total win!

Blanket Scarf: Amazon // Shirt: H&M (similar) // Pants: Target (similar) // Booties: Nordstrom Rack (similar) // Purse: ALDO // Earrings: The Tiny Tassel (c/o) // Puff Ball: New Look // Belt: Boohoo (similar) // Sunglasses: Target // Bracelets: Forever 21 (similar) // Lipstick: NYX “Perfect Red”

I have a confession…I am so obsessed with my blanket scarf that I actually had to come up with more ways to wear it in order to feel better about it.  Hopefully some of you share this addiction and I want you to know that we will get through this together!  One of the easiest ways to get away with wearing something way too much is to change up how you style it.  The blanket scarf can be worn a number of different ways, but my personal favorite is the cape!

Here’s how to do it:

Step 1: Lay your scarf flat on the floor.  It should look like a large square when spread out.

Step 2: Fold a corner of your blanket so that it is touching the corner that is directly diagonal to it.  Now your scarf should look like a triangle.

Step 3: Wrap the triangle around your shoulders so that it drapes down near the front of your legs.

Step 4: Using a belt, finish the look by securing the cape at your waist.

That’s it!  I hope you love wearing it like this as much as I do! (:

Dress: Charming Charlie’s (similar) // Blanket Scarf: Amazon (10.00!) // Purse: ALDO (on sale!) // Booties: Nordstrom Rack (similar) (only $25.00!) // Bracelets: Forever 21 // Sunglasses: Target // Lipstick: NYX “Perfect Red”

There are so many ways to wear a blanket scarf, but I think my new favorite is with this little black dress!  This outfit is so easy to throw together and looks instantly chic for day or night wear.  When it gets chilly you can also add a red or beige coat!  How do you wear your blanket scarf?
