Hi loves!  This week was absolutely FREEZING.  My sister and I weren’t sure if we’d be able to bare it outside long enough to get these shots, but we made it!  Despite having to suck it up a little, the weather was perfect timing because a company that I was already relatively familiar with, eShakti, offered to send me a coat customized to my measurements.  I had become aware of this company through Instagram and had heard positive things from other girls who shopped from the site.  That being so, I was really curious to try the brand out for myself and give you all an honest review of what I thought.

First, I think the idea of being able to customize something to your body is really revolutionary.  Fit is everything.  When something doesn’t sit on your body right, it just looks wrong.  I was pretty impressed with the quality of the coat.  It was well made, and looked exactly like it was pictured.  I had one minor issues with the button holes being a little stiff at first, but they loosened up after buttoning them and unbuttoning a few times.  As someone who is fairly petite, I thought the length was perfect and it was tailored really well to fit my body.  Also, I’m obsessed with the scallop detailing near the button holes.  I really love the wide variety of vintage inspired pieces that are available online too.  Some of my favorites are here, here, and here.  I think the prices are also very fair, being that each piece is customized to your individual body.  I will definitely be ordering more cute vintage looking clothes in the near future!

P.s. use code “theinspirationcloset” to get 10% OFF your purchase from 1/22/16 through 2/22/16! *Note: not valid on clearance*

Stay warm everyone and thanks for reading!

Black and white is a combination that will never go out of style.  Add a fun print and a pop of color to draw some attention to your look and finish it off with a lipstick that matches your accessories.

If you’ve been following along for awhile, then you know that I kinda have a thing for bows.  Especially during the holidays, I think they add an extra girly and festive touch to almost any outfit.  I also love the way a red cardigan really makes an outfit pop.  You can definitely expect this one to be on repeat all winter long!

On another note Thanksgiving is tomorrow so I just wanted to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving! (:

Yesterday was my 21st birthday!  Thank you so much to everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday!  I was overwhelmed by all the sweet comments.  I spent the night out to dinner with my family and my boyfriend, Craig where I ordered my first legal drink!  It was a Caribbean Cooler from the Cheesecake Factory and it was really good!  We then headed home where we had the amazing Barbie cake pictured above that was made by my best friend, Allie.  She goes to school for Baking & Pastry and she’s incredibly talented!  See more of her work HERE!  I didn’t really celebrate with my friends yesterday, so we’re going to get together this saturday instead.  We’re going roller skating and then out for drinks and I can’t wait!

Here are 21 things that i’ve learned by 21!

1.) I’d rather have five amazing best friends, than 500 just sorta okay friends.

2.) The older you get, the faster time flies ( UGH SLOW DOWN TIME).

3.) You don’t have to have EVERYTHING already figured out.

4.) Going to bed early is suddenly so much cooler than it used to be.

5.) If you don’t do dishes or laundry, you won’t have dishes or laundry.

6.) The qualities you look for in a partner will change (probably for the better).

7.) Investing in good quality clothing and accessories is important.

8.) Unless you want to solely eat cereal you need to have some cooking skills.

9.) It’s okay to make mistakes.

10.) It’s okay to let go of people who aren’t making you feel happy.

11.) Put the most effort into things that you’re passionate about.

12.) Surround yourself with positive people and you will feel positive.

13.) Radiating confidence is the most beautiful thing you can do.

14.) Be with someone who loves you for you.

15.) If you have to chase somebody, they probably aren’t worth chasing.

16.) Your parents were right about a lot.

17.) You are incredibly embarrassed of your teenage self…but so is everyone!

18.) College is a lot of work, but it’s so worth it.

19.) Love yourself before you love someone else.

20.) Spread the kindness you wish to receive.

21.) Do things that make you happy every single day!

Thanks for reading! (:

Hi girls!  Now that we’re approaching my favorite warm weather season, I can spend less time inside under a blanket and more time outside blogging!  This is a little bit of a different kind of outfit post than you’re used to seeing, so I’d love to hear some opinions on it!  Do you prefer style posts that have a photo shoot-esque kind of look to them, or do you like the traditional posts you’ve been seeing from me throughout this year?  By the way, how cute is that milk bottle? I found it in the Target dollar section!  Lemonade is one of my favorite summer drinks ever.
