1.) Simple Micellar Makeup Remover Wipes

Micellar water is definitely my new makeup removing BFF!  Seriously this stuff is amazing – it takes off my waterproof mascara like it’s nothing!  I’ve tried it both in a bottle and as a wipe and ultimately I’ve found that I prefer the wipes version, though I’m not really sure why honestly.

2.) Trader Joe’s All-In-One Facial Cleanser

Trader Joe’s skincare line is seriously underrated!  This cleanser is so gentle and packed with vitamins + antioxidants.  LOVE.

3.) Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer

I’ve tried a ton of face moisturizers and most either break me out, or don’t moisturize enough for my combination skin.  This one is dermatologist tested and so hydrating.

4.) Valentia Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask

If you read my last skincare post, then you know that I am OBSESSED with this brand!  The ingredients in Valentia’s products are natural, organic, and so reasonably priced.  After loving their True Glow Eye Cream and Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask, I was so excited to try the Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask.  Unlike most clay masks, it actually feels like it’s hydrating your skin while drawing out impurities, instead of being overly dry.

5.) Nip +Fab Skin Bee Sting Fix Lifting Mask

It sounds like such a weird concept, but Bee venom is supposed to be really effective at lifting and tightening your skin.  Obviously at this age, I don’t really have any wrinkles to fight, but being in my early 20′s it’s important to start taking preventative mesaures.  I was so skeptical of this product at first, but my skin honestly looks amazing after I use this at night.  The Bee venom tricks your skin into thinking it was stung and blood rushes to the area to “repair it”.  A.K.A. natural Botox in a bottle.

6.) Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Oil

Tea Tree oil is a great acne fighter!  I dab a tiny bit of this on blemishes at night and it helps to make them go away faster.

Happy Tuesday!  Now that it’s spring and the weather is finally warming up I’m taking any and every excuse to get out of the house and in the sun.  With all of the pretty lattes and fancy donut excursions that I’ve been on recently (see on my Instagram @theinspirationcloset), I’ve needed some fun outfits to go with them.  That’s why I’m allover this leopard and hot pink combo right now.  The blazer is so fun and bright, while the pants and top are muted for a nice contrast.  Hope everyone is having a good week so far!

Happy Monday!  Things are finally starting to warm up around here which means that it’s time to break out the trench coat!  I got this one from Zara during one of their big sales and I love the way it curves to your figure rather than being boxy like some others that I’ve tried.

Tip: A quick fix for a trench coat with a long belt is to tuck it under itself.  it’s both functional and looks fashion forward!  Have a great week everyone!

When you’re in that awkward transitioning period between winter and spring it can really hard to come up with outfits to accommodate the weather.  Particularly in March and April I find that it’s common (in NJ) to have one day that’s really cold and the next day it can be 70 degrees or more.  We have been experiencing a lot of that in the past week.  It snowed on Monday and by Wednesday it was 78 degrees outside!

I find that it’s really easy to fall into the “what do I wear?” trap during these months because the temperature is just so inconsistent.  One of my go-to transitioning looks is to wear a sweater and jeans of the same color hue paired with bright spring-like accessories.  I love the way the pink bag and green necklace pop against the gray!  What’s your go-to spring transition outfit?

I love a hairstyle that looks complicated, but is actually so easy to do.  This low rolled bun updo looks perfectly polished for work, a special event, or just everyday wear and takes under 5 minutes to do!

Products used:

-Bobby Pins

-Hair Tie

-L’Oreal Paris Studio Above It All Invisi Gel Volumizing Hair Gel

-Aussie Aussome Volume Hairspray

Prior to beginning: I straightened my hair in order to create a smooth and polished effect.  I find that it really helps to reduce frizziness and flyways to begin like this.  I then distributed a small dot of gel throughout my hair to create some hold.

Step 1:  Start by creating a low ponytail and secure with a hair tie.

Step 2:  Make a small opening in the center of the ponytail, splitting the hair into two even sections with your fingers.

Step 3:  Take the ponytail and pull it up and into the opening.  I found that this was easiest done when I put my thumb and pointer finger inside the opening, ready to grab it and pull it through instead of just trying to shove it down.

Step 4: Repeat Step 3 one or two more times until the ponytail is a bun.

Step 5: Pin any remaining hair into the bun and hairspray to secure flyways.

Hope you are having a great Monday and thanks for reading! (:
