Hi loves!  So, if you couldn’t already tell from my DIY Tumblr binders post, I LOVE Ariana Grande.  I think she always looks very classic and well put together.  The whole Audrey Hepburn and Breakfast at Tiffany’s vibe she rocks is timeless looking.  Therefore, I thought it was time I did an outfit of the day inspired by one of Ariana’s classic looks.  Now keep in mind this isn’t EXACTLY what Ariana wore to the iheartradio awards (pictured here).  This look is meant to be inspired by her style and is SIMILAR to something she may have worn or would wear.

Lets get into it! (:  To start, I found this cute cowl neck sweater dress at H&M.  I was inspired to wear my round sunglasses by this picture Ariana posted to her Instagram a while back.  I think they add something extra to a simple look like this.  The white boots I appear to be wearing are actually not boots at all.  I took some white knee high socks and paired them with white heels.  I finished the look with a Chanel quilted bag that my Nana passed down to me because Ariana loves the Chanel brand. However, I saw many less expensive alternatives at Forever21!  See some quilted alternatives here, here, and here. (:

Of course, I had to wear my hair in Ariana’s signature do.  It’s very simple actually!  Grab all the hair on the side of your head by your ears, and the hair on top of your head and pull it together like your about to wear a ponytail.  I recommend brushing it several times before actually committing to pulling it back so it comes out very smooth and bump-free.  Secure with a hair tie.  Now, instead of curling all of your hair grab a curling iron or wand (I use the Conair Infiniti Wand)  to curl the ends of your hair.  I recommend curling some small and some small and some large sections.  Finish with some hairspray allover.  My current favorite is  ThermaSilk’s heat activated hairspray.  It has incredible hold and smells so good.

I hope you guys enjoyed this celebrity inspired look and let me know if you would like more outfit of the days like this one!  I’m thinking a Blair Waldorf next. (;  What do you guys think?

Hi beauties!  Who says that bright colors are only reserved for the summer and spring?  You can absolutely pull off wearing these brights in the fall!  So, whats the secret?

These are a few of my personal tips, but are by no means set rules!  Rock this look however you like. (:

Tip #1: Wear a dark colored top.  It doesn’t have to be black, just choose something that isn’t colorful.  If you are wearing dark colored pants, wear a bright colored top.

Tip #2: Don’t go overboard!  A pop of color here and there makes enough of a statement.  There’s no need to go crazy!  It will take away from the drama that your one or two colorful pieces add.

Tip #3: If you are wearing bright colored pants and a scarf like mine, I would personally go with either a black or neutral purse and shoes.  Adding too much color will become overload and it will take away from your “fall” look.  Additionally, steer clear of too many patterns.

Tip #4: Don’t be afraid to rock some bright nails with this look!  Matching the nails with one of your accessories will make for a very pulled together look.

Hi loves! (:  Burgundy pants are such a great change from wearing jeans all the time.  I got mine from Who.A.U.  I’ll put the link down below since I don’t know how many of you have it at your mall!  Since it’s getting cooler I purchased this cute half sweatshirt jean jacket from Forever 21 and I’m so glad I did.  It’s the perfect outerwear piece for those days when I want to be casual and comfortable.  Especially because fall whether usually isn’t quite cold enough for a heavy coat, I love the jean and leather jackets for this season.

What’s great about this look, is that it’s for those days when you don’t feel like throwing together something elaborate.  The burgundy pants make the outfit look fashionable, yet your comfortable and it was easy to put together.

Sidenote – This is the first time that I am rocking my new Sperry Top-Siders!  This is my first time purchasing a pair of Sperrys and I love them.  In my opinion, they are the perfect addition to this casual vibe.

Hi loves!  Let me start by saying I love the gingham trend this fall!  This shirt is incredibly versatile and I’m sure you will be seeing several different outfit combinations of mine using it throughout the year.

For this outfit, I chose to wear it under a vest.  I definitely would love to invest in a few more vests this season because they really do add some extra style to any shirt.  Another lovely addition to the gingham look?  Pearls!  Pearls look so pretty against gingham.  I love anything classic, so pearls are one of my favorite pieces of jewelry.

Hi loves!  I’m back at university for the year, but no worries, I will still have tons of fashion, beauty, DIY and etc. posts for you guys!  Let me just start by saying I used to hate fall clothing.  I was such a summer clothes kind of girl for the longest time.  Rompers, dresses and skirts are such a go-to for me.  However, in recent years I have discovered that fall is actually one of the most fashionable seasons of all.  The opportunities for layering are endless.  A simple jean and t-shirt become instantly glam with a scarf and a cute hat.  Boots come in so many styles now that it’s impossible to own just one pair.

This season i plan to show you the power of fall fashion.  It is amazing how many different combinations can be made with a simple gingham shirt or a big midi skirt like the one I’m wearing in today’s post.  In this big personal closet of inspiration we share (a.k.a. this blog) I hope you find something to take with you and have your most chic season yet! (:

Just a quick side note- Bloglovin’ and Tumblr have reconciled their differences and Tumblr has officially unblocked Bloglovin’!  (Thank goodness right?)

As for my outfit, I love the midi skirt trend for this fall!  It is such an amazing piece to add to your closet.  Not only does it stand out, but you get the instant retro Audrey Hepburn kind-of-look which is always timeless.  A great tip for wearing button down shirts with skirts is to tie a small knot at the bottom of your shirt.  Leave one to two buttons unbuttoned before tying your knot.  I find that this ends up looking much better than tucking things in.  Also, its way easier!  Pair with heels or flats and your good to go!

Before I go, I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of the new followers on both Tumblr and Instagram!  Welcome to our shared closet. (:
