Hi friends!  Okay, I have a little bit of a confession to make, so here goes…

I’m a total stationary addict.  There I said it.  I have way too much and yet somehow never enough.  Cards, invitations, notes, pens, stamps, stickers, wax seals, I could probably go on all day.  As you guys know, I am all about a good deal, so if I’m not DIY-ing it, I’m buying it somewhere affordable.

This is where I introduce you to my new go-to for any and all inexpensive paper products – Basic Invite.  There’s a very special place in my heart for customized and affordable professionally printed stationary and they have it all.  Wedding invitations, birth announcements and “Thank You” notes are just SOME of the seemingly endless paper products that you can customize.  Don’t even get me started on the baby shower invitations for girls or these cute princess theme baby shower invitations.

What I am really loving right now are their business cards.  For any bloggers reading this, there’s honestly no better place.  I was able to match the exact font and color of my blog logo and have them printed onto their “Painted Border Business Cards”.  Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers almost unlimited color options with instant previews online. Once you select a design you can change the color of each element on the card to over 180 different color options so you can make sure every detail is exactly how you want it.  You can even opt for gold, silver, or rose gold foil.  There’s also over 40 different envelope colors and they are all peel and stick for easy closure!  It’s options like this that set them apart from almost any other online stationery company.  I looooveee how my cards came out.

Plus, if you’re like me and a total perfectionist, then you even have the ability to order a printed sample of their actual invitation so they can see exactly how it will print as well as the paper quality before you ever have to place your final order.

Basic Invite also has a unique address capturing service that allows customers to simply share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other form of social media to request their friends and family’s addresses which will be stored in the customer’s account and can then be selected during the design process.

What I love most of all is that quality of the products is absolutely beautiful – especially for such reasonable prices.

Of course, I never pass up extra savings, so right now you can take advantage of an extra 15% off with code: 15FF51

I don’t know when cute doormats became a thing, but let me just say – I am all over it.

A doormat is the first thing someone sees when they come to your home, plus it’s an easy way to add a little personality.  Don’t know where to start?  I rounded up 1o of my favorites that are sure to make your front door the cutest around.

A few weeks ago, Craig and I took a much needed getaway trip to the beautiful island of the Bahamas!   This vacation was everything and more.  We hadn’t taken a big trip together since our dream vacation to Disney World, so it was really exciting to go somewhere new (just us) for the first time in two years.

We stayed on Nassau at the Melia Beach All-Inclusive Resort (which I highly recommend), but visited both Exuma and Paradise island for day trips.  All of the islands were gorgeous, but Exuma was particularly stunning to visit.  It’s much more secluded than Nassau and Paradise Island which are traditionally touristy.

While on Exuma, we got to swim with the island pigs, meet friendly lizards, feed stingrays and greet some big lemon sharks.  We used Powerboat Adventures for the tour and I would definitely recommend them!  You take an hour and fifteen minute boat ride to Exuma from Paradise Island with your first stop being at a small island of lizards.  They were so adorable and actually way more shy than I imagined.  You then poceed on with the rest of your day on a separate private island where some of the island pigs live in addition to lots of ocean life.  The pigs are high energy and super hungry.  I loved petting all of the tiny ones – they were so sweet.

Feeding stingrays was unlike anything else I’ve ever done.  We were instructed to get on our knees in the water while holding a small piece of fish between our fingers.  The large stingrays would swim right up to you and suck it up (with what felt like an intense grip) really quickly before swimming away.  Prior to this experience I had no idea that all stingrays were poisonous so it was a little intimidating, but they were very friendly creatures and (as we were instructed) as long as you don’t get nervous and start kicking, flailing or making them feel trapped, you should be fine.

Also, if you are looking to get close to sharks, Exuma is definitely the place!  There were nurse sharks and lemon sharks roaming the shallow water constantly.  It was really incredible to be eating lunch off the dock and look down below to see so many swimming below your feet.

I could honestly go on forever telling you all about the amazing things we did and saw on this trip! Craig and I can’t wait to go back someday.

I could live in an Anthropologie.  Seriously – the clothes, the home decor, the gorgeous patterns…could it be more inviting??  I’m obsessed with the mood lighting, the dreamy candle smells and overall homey feel throughout the store.  It feels so inspiring every time I walk in.

One thing I’m not a huge fan of is how crazy expensive everything is.  Items have been priced as high as $9,000 (yikes) and for those of us that don’t have a disposable income it can get a little pricey.   That’s why I’ve rounded up a few of the best Anthropologie shopping hacks to help you save the maximum $$ on your next Anthro trip!

1.) Get Complimentary Wardrobe and Home Styling

Did you know that Anthropologie offers styling advice for both your wardrobe and home free of charge? UMM sign me up!  Customers can make appointments by visiting online or calling their local store.

2.) Shop the Sales

This might seem like a no-brainer, but seriously Anthropologie has some amazing sales and often marks down products that are out-of-season or not selling well down heavily.  The sale section is frequently  an additional 20-25% off and sometimes there are bigger discounts such as 40% store-wide.  This is the perfect time to grab all of those pieces that you’ve been eyeing.  In particular, I find the sales section to be a great place to score discounted hooks, knobs, kitchenware, accessories, beauty items, small home decor pieces and gifts.

Get updates on the latest sale info:

Follow Anthropologie on Social Media: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter

or follow blogs like Effortless Anthropologie for the latest sale updates

3.) Opt For Store Pick-up to Save on Shipping Costs

Store pick-up is one of the best shopping hacks ever.  No shipping costs and an excuse to stop in Anthropologie to browse?  Yes Please.  Shopping online and picking-up can also help you score specific items that are out of stock.  A few months ago, I found this gorgeous hook in the sales section, but couldn’t find a second matching one.  I ended up finding it online instead and was able to pick it up at another nearby store!

4.) Use Anthropologie’s Price Adjustment Policy to Your Advantage

As per the Anthropologie FAQ section on site “If you have purchased items that are now on sale, we will gladly offer you a one-time price adjustment if you contact us within 14 days of the original date of shipment or in-store purchase.”

5. Buy Discounted Gift Cards

Save even more money by purchasing a discounted Anthropologie gift card from an authorized gift card reseller.  Some popular site to do so include, and  Gift cards are often discounted up to 35%!

6.  Get Familiar with the Sales Cycles

Anthropologie often releases new products on the first of every month.  Typically, you can find that the website will put items on sale at midnight on Sunday.

7. Use Thinkover to Get Alerted When Items Go on Sale

Okay, seriously – best. hack. ever.  Thinkover is one of my favorite websites right now and not just for Anthropologie, but for any store.  Think of it like Pinterest for online shopping.  Drag your favorite items from the site to the lower half of your screen and they will be saved for later.  Once an item goes on sale you’ll get an alert!  No more bookmarking and constantly checking for mark downs.  I’ve saved soooo much money with this site.

8. Combine High Cash Back Rates With Big Sales to Get the Best Deals

Cash back is such an amazing secret weapon.  If you want the best rates, sign up for TopCashback.  You’ll get 4% right now as compared with Ebates or other sites 1%.  Stack that with coupons + heavy sales and you will feel like Anthropologie is paying you to shop.

9.  Save Money with DIY Anthropologie Inspired Items

There are hundreds of incredible Anthropologie DIYs on Pinterest, but here are a few sites to get you started:

Although I really wouldn’t describe my personality as “extra”, sometimes I like to dress like it.  It’s fun to try on a new look that pushes you out of your comfort zone and makes you feel confident and even a little “out there”.

These laced up pants are one of the bolder trends I’ve seen lately, worn by the likes of Kourtney Kardashian and Gigi Hadid.  As soon as I saw them, I knew I had to have them (a more affordable version of course).

I found a cheap pair from RoseGal that are super cute.  They are quite lightweight and you do have to lace them up yourself, but look really amazing on and are totally unbeatable for the price.  Trends like this I try not to splurge on.   You won’t get tons and tons of wear out of them + they could come and go, so I recommend saving your big spends on the basics and hunting for great steals like this for bolder looks.

Would you rock laced-up pants?
